Federal Judge Blocks Texas From Protecting Its Own Economy
On February 4th, U.S. District Judge Alan Albright—a Trump appointee—ruled that Texas cannot prevent its own pension funds from being invested in companies that boycott our energy sector. Senate Bill 13, passed by legislators you elected, signed by a governor you elected, designed to protect the industry that built modern Texas—struck down with a 12-page order.
The ruling sided with Wall Street firms who want to target Texas energy while denying Texas the right to respond. The message from Washington is clear: you can vote however you want, pass whatever laws you want, but we have veto power over it all.
