I wanted to give you an update on my visit to Western North Carolina yesterday. I was much further, maybe 200 miles, north of the area I had been in when I posted about it previously. Our neighbors still need help. My friends that live up there have spent many hours helping to Cut up trees, move trees, rebuild things and many hours of volunteer work at the Mitchell County animal shelter. My friend said though, even though they did not get help from FEMA initially, he was amazed at how their community had come together to help each other. I’m going to repost the Link for one of the grassroots movements that came about and their goal is to rebuild 500 houses. Here we are almost a year later and these people are still struggling. However, it is my understanding that Trump released quite a bit of money into their area now. Give if you can, pray if you can’t.
