The Trump administration has launched a public website called 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐫 — a running, searchable tally of the waste, abuse and outright theft its task force has clawed out of the federal budget since January 2025.

The largest flying creature that ever lived did not come from some far-off corner of the world. It came out of the ground right here, in the Big Bend country of far West Texas. In 1971, a young geology student poking around these desert hills uncovered the bones of a winged reptile so enormous the discovery landed on the front page of the New York Times.
They named it Quetzalcoatlus, after the feathered serpent of old legend, and the name fit. Stretch its wings, and they reached nearly forty feet across, wider than a small airplane.
