Lovemylife Inspirationals:

Hitting Rock Bottom.

Everything in life happens for a reason. As you get older, you get used to a certain level of comfort that is so hard to give up. It is only in nothingness, a cold dark damp, dull, nothingness, those cold, sharp, empty spaces, that we need in our times of scarcity and loss and aloneness, that we can understand the true meaning of everything and the indelible value of what it has cost us. No one needs to hit rock bottom to change. And yet so many people do, only because most of us are unskilled in communicating with ourselves. We lie to ourselves, and bury our heads from Yahweh speaking in our ears. Stress, depression, anxiety, insomnia, headaches, illnesses, these are all symptoms of a bigger problem. You are trying to tell yourself something. Loudly. We need to learn to listen now or we will be listening later but through regret of not hearing before. Your darkest moment rips off every mask. It makes you see the world for what it really is. And people, for who they truly are. There is no ignoring the call. God gives you many warnings before you hit rock bottom. But when we do hit rock bottom, when you feel like you have been hit, hit hard, dig in deep and hit back. Call on Yahweh. Understand that rock bottom is not your end, it is your beginning. One of the most amazing things that we often forget is this. God never forgets us. Face it, you could hide under a rock, BUT, God will still be beside you saying, "Hit Rock Bottom, already?” "Let's get you out of here my child." God loves you. He does not want to see you hit rock bottom, but He knows that we will all stumble at some time in our life, and we will. And it is only then, when we are humiliated, and now humble, that we can begin again. When this ultimate crisis comes. When there is no way out, that is the very moment when we explode from within and the totally other emerges to take over. Like a Phoenix arising into the sun, Yahweh can help give you the sudden surfacing of a strength, a security of unknown origin, welling up from beyond reason, rational expectation, and hope. Christ Jesus can carry you out of the hole you have dug yourself into and help you get your feet back on solid ground. All you have to do is call on Him, and He will lead you. Sometimes, when our life is in shambles, it is not the end of life. Sometimes things have to fall apart before they can fall into place. You see, sometimes, God allows us to hit rock bottom so He can show you that He is the rock at the bottom and the only way to go is up.

God Bless

In the summer of 1947,

a woman walked into a drug store in Tupelo, Mississippi, to drop off film to be developed when she realized she had one exposure left.
She noticed a young boy outside the drugstore and asked him to pose with his shiny new bicycle so that she could finish the roll and turn it in. He happily obliged and then went off on his merry way before she could thank him or catch his name.
"What a handsome young boy," she told the clerk as she handed off the film.
She developed the film and tucked the picture of the boy in a shoe box filled with papers and stored it in the attic. Decades later, as she was cleaning out the attic, she stumbled upon the dusty old shoe box filled with papers and a random photo.
"Oh, that young boy from way back when," she thought to herself.
She stared at the picture. There was something about it. He looked so strangely familiar. She stood up and held it under a lamp. A chill ran down her spine as she suddenly dropped the picture.
She realized the boy was Elvis ...
