This picture in a text today. made me reflect….My heart goes out to all those “little ones” and their families affected by the tragic flash flood here in Texas. Please continue to pray that they may find some measure of peace.

During the devastating Texas floods in July 2025, two 19-year-old camp counselors, Silvana Garza Valdez and María Paula Zárate, demonstrated remarkable courage at Camp Mystic. As floodwaters rose, putting a group of young girls in peril, the counselors stayed calm and acted quickly.
To help keep everyone safe, they wrote their names and the children’s names on their bodies—just in case someone got swept away, they could be identified. They also helped the girls pack essential items, gave them emotional support, and kept the group together until they were safely rescued.
Their wise choices and kindness in such a scary moment are now being praised on social media and in the news. People are calling them true heroes and powerful examples of leadership, bravery, and care during a crisis.

The body of little Mary Grace Baker was just recovered. She was a 3rd grade student from Beaumont, TX.
Katie Baker- "We have received confirmation that our precious angel has been found.
We have felt the prayers and support of all of you over the past couple of days. Please continue to lift us, as we do not see how we can carry on without her.
We will share details regarding her rosary and funeral as they are finalized."
