Good morning, my friends. You don’t hear much about it anymore, but our friends here in Western North Carolina are still struggling to rebuild their homes and their lives. This morning I talked to a very dear soul up in the area. They own a crystal shop that somehow did not Get full damage from the hurricane, although the rest of the buildings where they are located were pretty much wiped out. She told me about this beautiful foundation that has been established to help rebuild 500 homes. I am putting the link in here in case you felt moved to donate to them. These are wonderful people just trying to get their lives back together almost a year later. In the words of our president, “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

My BFF and I took a day trip to a local vineyard close to Pilot Mountain. You may remember hearing of Mount pilot on the Andy Griffin show! It is one of the oldest mountains and the first one you come to as you had towards the Blue Ridge Parkway. See that knob? That is the pinnacle. It was a lovely setting with wonderful food and wine! The day was hot, but beautiful.It’s just nice sometimes to get out of your comfort zone and do something you don’t usually do and just have some fun!
