The Wounds of Battle.

Let's face it. Most things in this hap-hazard life break. Like little trinkets we buy from China at the closest Wal-Mart. We buy it one day, and by the following week, it is lying in pieces on the ground. This is including our hearts. We have to face the fact that the lessons of life do not amount to us gaining wisdom, but it does lead to scar tissue and calluses over our hearts and feelings. Making our hearts hard and our feelings hidden, as we walk through life hurt and alone. The truth is, that most of us have fought battles so severe in life, that we deserve a purple heart for all the battle wounds. But, some wounds do not bleed, they linger. Those are the wounds we always carry. Let's be real for a minute. The truth is, God heals all wounds. He even tells you that He Will heal the broken hearted, and bind up their wounds. The problem is that we refuse to hand God our pain. It is like we are ashamed that we got ourselves into that mess and we are trying to hide it from God. Here is a News Flash: God Already Knows. He Knew Before You Were Born. Listen, we can accept or reject the way we are treated by other people. That choice is up to you by your own free will, but you have to stand up to do it. But, until you heal the wounds of your past, you will continue to bleed. You can try to bandage and cover the bleeding with food, with alcohol, with drugs, with work, with cigarettes, with sex, but eventually, it will all ooze through and stain your life. Especially with one broken relationship after another, until you deal with your suffering. You must find the strength to open the wounds, and let God pull out the core of the pain that is holding you in your past, the memories, and make peace with them. Children show scars like medals. Look, I got this one falling out of the tree over there. They are so innocent. But lovers, well they use them as secrets to reveal. Always keeping some part hidden. Not quite wanting to reveal everything about how their heart was broken, but just enough. We must learn to open up. Especially with those we say we love. Learn to give your pain to God. He is a good, good Father. He wants to heal you. He wants to bind those wounds of battle. He wants to restore you. There is nothing you will ever do in this human life experience, that He does not already know you are going to do. Put your trust in Jesus. He will comfort you always. He already died for you. Is that not enough for you to know that He truly loves you? Trust in Him always.
