This week, a Trump-appointed federal judge struck down Texas's law protecting our energy sector from Wall Street's climate agenda. Let that sink in. It doesn't matter who appoints the judges. The system itself is the problem.
Federal Judge Blocks Texas From Protecting Its Own Economy
On February 4th, U.S. District Judge Alan Albright—a Trump appointee—ruled that Texas cannot prevent its own pension funds from being invested in companies that boycott our energy sector. Senate Bill 13, passed by legislators you elected, signed by a governor you elected, designed to protect the industry that built modern Texas—struck down with a 12-page order.
The ruling sided with Wall Street firms who want to target Texas energy while denying Texas the right to respond. The message from Washington is clear: you can vote however you want, pass whatever laws you want, but we have veto power over it all.
I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it: any decision we make here in Texas can be overridden by the pen of some unelected federal judge. That's not self-government. That's the illusion of self-government.
What this means: This is exactly why we fight for TEXIT. The only way Texas can truly control its own economy is as a self-governing, independent nation.

UCLA Medical Center, June 11th, 1979.
2:15 p.m. John Wayne takes his last breath. Stomach cancer, 72 years old. His daughter, Aisa, sits beside the bed, still holding his hand, even though he's gone. The room is quiet now. No more labored breathing. No more pain, just stillness. A nurse enters after a respectful pause. I'm sorry for your loss.
Would you like his personal effects? Aisa nods. Can't speak [music] yet. Tears are still coming. The nurse hands her a small plastic bag, the kind hospitals use for belongings. Aisa looks inside. Wedding ring. Heavy gold band scratched from [music] decades of wear. Watch. Rolex. The one he wore in a dozen films. And something else.
Something unexpected. A rosary. Old ...
