Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow spoke to the U.S. Senate on March 4, 2026 about the growing problem of illegal images involving children online.
He showed lawmakers a map with 338,000 red dots, each representing a U.S. IP address linked to downloading or sharing these images in the past six months. Only a small number of blue dots showed active investigations.
Tebow said international databases now contain tens of thousands of unidentified image series, and millions of files still need review. In the U.S., only a small team of analysts is working to identify the victims.
Through his foundation’s Operation Renewed Hope, more than 1,100 children have been tentatively identified across several operations.
He urged Congress to pass the Renewed Hope Act of 2026, which would fund more investigators and specialists to help find and protect these children.
Tebow said the issue is not awareness — it is a lack of resources.
