Some argue that "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" means subject to ordinary criminal and civil laws. Some disagree with that understanding. I am one of them.
Even if that interpretation is correct, when the very first action an illegal alien performs is to flaunt the law, by that very act, they REJECT "being subject to the jurisdiction thereof."
Scripture tells us that we are born bearing Adam's sin. We cannot occupy Eden because Adam's act rendered us ineligible and illegitimate. To me, the principle is clear.
Birthright Citizenship is a flawed concept.
