History was made in a Fort Worth courtroom today. Eight members of a North Texas Antifa cell were sentenced in the first federal Antifa terrorism prosecution in American history, receiving a combined 450 years in federal prison for a premeditated July 4th, 2025, armed attack on the Prairieland ICE Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas.
Ringleader Benjamin Hanil Song drew the longest sentence: 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬. Prosecutors proved at trial that Song acquired and distributed firearms to co-defendants, recruited members at gun ranges and combat training sessions he personally led, and was caught on police bodycam yelling “𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘴!” before opening fire on responding officers. He struck Alvarado Police Lt. Thomas Gross in the neck.
The remaining sentences: Maricela Rueda received 70 years. Cameron Arnold (Autumn Hill), Zachary Evetts, Savanna Batten, Meagan Morris, and Elizabeth Soto each received 50 years. Daniel Rolando Sanchez-Estrada received 30 years. U.S. District Judge Mark T. Pittman handed down the sentences. All eight were among the nine defendants convicted in March after the first federal Antifa terrorism trial in U.S. history.
For years, the media insisted Antifa was “𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢.” The rioters who killed a police officer, firebombed federal buildings, and attacked ICE facilities were dismissed as spontaneous protesters with no organization and no ideology. The federal judiciary just issued its verdict on that narrative.
