As we begin a new week, this is the kind of wisdom worth carrying into every decision, every conversation, every burden, and every unknown that lies ahead.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
That is not just a verse to admire. It is instruction for how to live.
We all have plans. We all have desires. We all have opinions about what should happen next, how things should unfold, who should change, what doors should open, and what problems should be solved right now.
But Scripture reminds us that our understanding is limited. We see a few steps in front of us. God sees the whole road.
That is why the beginning of a new week is the right time to pause, pray, and surrender. Not with half a heart. Not with a backup plan hidden in our pocket. Not with the attitude that we will trust God only if He confirms what we already wanted.
Trust Him with all your heart.
Seek His will for this week. Ask Him for wisdom before making decisions. Ask Him for patience before reacting. Ask Him for strength before carrying burdens that were never meant to be carried alone.
And pray without ceasing.
Pray when the path looks clear. Pray when it looks confusing. Pray when you feel confident. Pray when you feel anxious. Pray before you speak, before you move, before you decide, and before you assume your own understanding is enough.
There is peace in remembering that we do not have to figure everything out on our own. There is wisdom in admitting that God’s way is higher than ours. There is strength in trusting the Lord even when the road ahead is uncertain.
So as this new week begins, lean less on your own desires and more on God’s direction.
