Secretary of State Marco Rubio has invited senior ministers from more than 𝟔𝟎 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 to Washington on July 16 for a summit targeting what the State Department is now formally calling “𝘧𝘢𝘳-𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘮” (Washington Post).

State says the movement, organized loosely under the Antifa umbrella, has surged across the U.S. and Europe since as far back as 2016, and the counterterrorism task force Vice President Vance kicked off isn’t stopping at HHS or small business fraud; it’s going global.
Not everyone RSVP’d gracefully. Anonymous European diplomats told the Washington Post “𝘞𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘢” and that left-wing violence “𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭” in their countries. U.S. law only allows a foreign terrorist designation for groups with a genuine foreign presence, a legal wall the administration's counterterrorism team is reportedly exploring ways around.
Funny how the countries that keep watching their own cities burn suddenly can't find the problem.
