Article I, Section 7 of the Constitution gives the President 10 days (excluding Sundays) to sign a bill, veto it, or do nothing.
If he does nothing and Congress is still in session, the bill automatically becomes law.
But here’s the trap 👉 if Congress adjourns during those 10 days, it’s a pocket veto. The bill dies.
Trump isn’t just refusing to sign. 👉 He’s forcing Congress to stay in session.
