This is just unreal...I have no words
Six days locked in a room with eleven people determined to explain away the strangling of three little kids. Every excuse under the sun gets floated—hormones, depression, the system failed her—while the bodies of those babies stay just as dead. The holdout sits there listening to the same recycled talking points that treat a mother who planned and carried out the killings as the real victim.
Reasonable doubt has been twisted into a get-out-of-jail-free card. Facts about the methodical nature of the act get waved off as soon as someone mentions postpartum anything. The lone juror who still believes actions have consequences has to endure lectures about compassion from people who seem more concerned with feelings than with the children who will never grow up.
Justice for the dead should not require an apology. One person in that room still understands that some lines cannot be crossed no matter how many experts are wheeled in to blur them. The rest can keep talking in circles. The truth does not change because it makes people uncomfortable.
