👉 DETROIT REJECTS RADICAL LEFT 🤔
Something important just happened in Michigan that the national media is doing everything it can to ignore.
In the Democratic primary, the radical progressive candidate 👉 the one running as a proud socialist with open pro-Hamas positions 👉 got crushed in Detroit.
👉 He lost the city by roughly 30 points.
Let that sink in. 🤯
Detroit is still one of the most reliable Democratic strongholds in America.
👉 It is a majority-Black city.
👉 This was his home turf.
👉 He had served as a public official there.
And the people who know him best rejected him decisively. 🤯
He won the affluent, college-educated liberal pockets..
👉 Ann Arbor and parts of Grand Rapids. 🤔
The same demographic that has driven the party hard left for a decade. But in the neighborhoods that still punch a clock and raise families, the rejection was clear.
Then came the moment that should have dominated the news cycle. 😳
Detroit City Councilwoman Mary Waters 👉 an at-large representative who has been in local politics for decades 👉 met with Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers the day after the primary. On local television she said it out loud:
👉 “It’s time for them to get off the plantation.” 🤭
✅ She did not hedge.
✅ She did not soften the language.
A longtime Democrat from the heart of Detroit looked at what the party has become and said the quiet part.
👉 This is not a small story. ✋
For years the progressive wing has treated Black voters as a permanent voting bloc that would tolerate any radicalism as long as the other side was called racist.
👉 That assumption is cracking.
When the candidate most aligned with the DSA and the loudest anti-Israel voices loses the Black vote in Detroit by a landslide, the model is failing in real time.
The same pattern is showing up elsewhere. 🤔
Working-class voters of every background are watching the party they once trusted turn into something unrecognizable 👉 obsessed with ideology, hostile to borders, soft on crime, and increasingly comfortable with open antisemitism. 😒
👉 Many of them are done pretending it is still their home.
Michigan has not elected a Republican U.S. Senator in a long time. 😟
👉 The national media will continue to insist this race is safely blue. But the primary results and public comments from Detroit say otherwise.
✅ The plantation is not as secure as it used to be.
✅ The people who live there are starting to notice.
