There is another important part of this conversation Christians should remember.
Persecution is not evidence that Christianity has failed.
Jesus warned His followers that opposition would come.
He told them plainly that if the world hated Him, it would also hate those who followed Him.
For much of Christian history, believers understood that faith could carry a real cost.
The apostles were beaten and imprisoned.
Christians worshiped under hostile governments.
Missionaries entered places where proclaiming Christ could mean losing their freedom or their lives.
Yet Christianity did not disappear.
It spread.
Faith does not survive because Christians are protected from hardship. Faith survives because God remains faithful in the middle of hardship.
Our challenge in America may look different, but the principle remains the same.
Christians should never become so comfortable that cultural approval takes precedence over biblical truth.
